How to Check Your eBRC Status on the DGFT Portal
Once a bank has transmitted your remittance and you have generated the certificate, the eBRC lives in your DGFT repository. Here is how to find it, check its status, and print it.
Where eBRCs live on the DGFT portal
Every eBRC tied to your Importer Exporter Code sits in a repository on the DGFT portal. You do not re-request a certificate to see it; you open the repository and read it. There are two common routes in.
Route one: the Repositories dashboard
- Log in to the DGFT website with your registered credentials.
- Open My Dashboard, then Repositories.
- Under the Bills Repositories tab, click Explore.
- From the bill type list, select Bank Realisations.
- Enter a From date and To date, then Search.
- Your eBRCs appear on screen. Open a Bank Realisation number to view it, and use Print eBRC to save or print the certificate.
Route two: the Services menu
The DGFT site also exposes an eBRC option under its Services area, where you can view and print an eBRC by entering your IEC and the IFSC code of the bank branch that handled the remittance. Either route reaches the same certificate.
Why an eBRC might not appear yet
If a certificate is missing, the usual reason is upstream. The bank may not have transmitted the inward remittance to DGFT yet, or the remittance has arrived but the certificate has not been generated from it. Since November 2023 the exporter self-certifies, so an unmapped remittance produces no certificate until you map it to its export. Check your remittance records first: a remittance that is Amended or Cancelled will not sit behind a clean certificate.
Downloading and printing
Once the certificate is on screen, you can print it or save it as a PDF, and copy the eBRC number to paste into a bank or refund portal.
