What the app does on a phone

Everything the eBRC exporter app does on the web, on the screen you already carry. An eBRC is the DGFT’s record that an export payment was received and realised in India; RoDTEP, duty drawback, advance authorisation and other export incentive claims need it, and so do FEMA compliance and statutory audits. The app is where that certificate gets made.

  • IRM repository. Your inward remittances, as reported by your bank to the DGFT, in one searchable list. Search by IRM number or date, see Fresh, Amended and Cancelled status, open any remittance for the remitter, country, purpose code, currency and how much of it is still available.
  • Generate an eBRC in four steps. Set up the filing, pick the remittances, match the invoice or shipping bill, review and submit. One remittance can settle several invoices in a single filing. Direct export, Softex, service export and deemed export are all supported.
  • Bulk filing. Download the pre-filled Excel template, fill it, upload it back. Every row is checked before it reaches the DGFT, errors come back row by row, and uploading again never creates a duplicate.
  • eBRC reports. Every certificate you have filed, with its status. View the PDF, share it, download it, copy the eBRC number, or export the whole ledger to Excel.
  • Request status. When each filing was submitted, what the DGFT returned, and why a filing failed, so the fix is obvious.
  • Shipping bill and export invoice extract. Upload a shipping bill or commercial invoice PDF and get filing-ready fields, checked against the document’s own totals. The mapping step can fill itself from the shipping bill you upload.
  • Test mode. Every workspace validates filings against the DGFT’s sandbox without creating a real certificate. Switch to Live when you mean it, and the app asks you to confirm.

Safe by default

Nothing is filed unless you file it. Your DGFT credentials are encrypted and never shown back. Your data is never trapped: the ledger exports to Excel at any time. A real person answers support tickets from inside the app, usually within a day. The full statement of that boundary is on the compliance and security page.

Who it is for

Merchant and manufacturer exporters, service exporters filing Softex, SEZ and EOU units, and the accountants and export teams who file eBRCs for them. If you hold an IEC and receive export payments, this app is for you. Platforms, banks and export software file on behalf of their customers through the eBRC API, a separate product with its own terms.

The DGFT issues every certificate and usually returns it in about two hours. The app is an independent product of Eximfiles; it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an agent of the DGFT or any government body. Not yet. The iOS version of the eBRC exporter app is not released and is coming to the App Store; no date is published. Until it is, an iPhone runs the same exporter app in the phone's browser at app.ebrc.in, and this page will carry the App Store link the day it exists.

No. The eBRC exporter app is published by Eximfiles, an independent product operated by Dreamfuel Technologies Private Limited, Pune. Every eBRC is issued by the DGFT: the app prepares and submits the filing on your instruction, through your own DGFT account, and the certificate that comes back is the same DGFT-issued eBRC as one generated on the DGFT portal.
