Generate an eBRC Without Logging Into the DGFT Portal Every Time
The question is not whether the DGFT portal works. It does, and it stays the official home of your certificates. The question is whether you personally need to sign into it every time a payment arrives. You do not.
What the one-time connection is
On the ebrc.in workspace you link your DGFT account a single time, from Settings. The connection state stays visible: Connected, Action needed, or Not connected. Your credentials are encrypted at rest and never displayed back after entry, and when you update your password the stored one is replaced immediately. That single connection is what lets the workspace act on your instruction; the legal shape of that mandate is spelled out plainly in the terms.
What stops happening
- No more session-per-filing. Your inward remittances arrive in the app on their own, each with a live status, instead of waiting for you to go and look. If one has not appeared, here is why and what to do.
- No more navigation learning. Filing is a short guided form that starts pre-filled from your saved presets. There is nothing to memorise; the flow tells you what it needs.
- No more babysitting the filing. Submissions are validated before they go anywhere, bulk spreadsheet errors come back row by row with reasons, and resubmitting never creates a duplicate. The only inputs that stay yours are the invoice and shipping bill details each payment belongs to.
- No more status archaeology. The waiting and checking until the certificate returns happens on our side. It is usually back in about two hours, and the ledger keeps every eBRC with its PDF, number, and utilisation, exportable to Excel whenever you want.
What stays exactly as official as before
Everything that matters. The certificate is generated through the DGFT against your IEC under your own account and instruction; it is the same eBRC the portal route produces, usable for the same incentive claims and records. Your portal access remains yours, any time you want to look around. What changes is only whose hands do the routine work.
Set it up once
- Create a workspace and connect DGFT. Sign up at app.ebrc.in, then one connection from Settings, state always visible.
- Watch remittances arrive. Your IRMs show up on their own with statuses; nothing to fetch.
- File in minutes. Map each remittance to its invoice or shipping bill in the guided form, or upload a whole spreadsheet at once.
- Collect the certificate. Usually back in about two hours: PDF, eBRC number, ledger entry, done.
